The Apprenticeship program allows you to earn while you learn. When you're ready to start working full-time, you can also do so after being selected to start in our training program. The Sheet Metal Workers Joint Apprenticeship & Training Program not only offers a job opportunity but skills for a lifetime career. Apprenticeship programs have been proven by the State of Florida Department of Education to be the best method of training.

Information About Wages, Benefits, and
Working Conditions in The Construction Industry

A Union Apprenticeship Program guarantees you an opportunity for the best wages, benefits, and working conditions in the construction industry. Other programs sound good at first but only a Union program, working for Union contractors, gives you a written guarantee of wage advancements, along with full family medical insurance coverage, and a secure retirement pension.

Applicant & Training Information - Wage Rate Schedule

Apprenticeship opportunities are industry driven and based on supply and demand. Applicants are interviewed based on State of Forida, (Apprenticeship Standards Selection Procedure). We are very proud of our five-year Concentrated Training Apprenticeship Program that takes practical class related instruction and allows a person to get (OJT) on the job training to practice skills and work full-time. Wage rates are based on a percentage of a Journeyperson's top hourly rate. Apprentices start at 55% of the current top rate. Contact for information on application cutoff & interview date.
